Typography of Women: I am not Invisible

As part of the Buffalo Project's efforts to support the WNY community, we will be participating in Typography Women: I am not Invisible, to raise awareness of human trafficking in WNY, in support of Project Mona's House, a transitional residence for women who have been trafficked.

ABOUT "TYPOGRAPHY"

"Typography" is a four-part project produced by local artist and community advocate, Ms. Celeste Lawson. It includes an original live stage performance of music, dance and poetry that conveys the experiences of trafficking survivors, as interpreted by local professional artists, a public forum with panel experts and two art exhibits.

Ms. Lawson was the recipient of a MAP Fund grant in 2019. MAP is an organization that supports innovation and cross-cultural exploration in new works of live performance.

OUR INVOLVEMENT

The Buffalo Project is honored to be a part of "Typography". Dr. Rhianna C. Rogers has been chosen as a panel expert in their public forum to be held on March 21st, 2020, where she will discuss the subjects of Triggers, Historical Trauma and Historical Memory, as these relate to human trafficking.
